An the rocker cover, I was meaning is oil gunna leak from the crack or is it outside the sealing edge of the gasket

oh nah, its within the sealing so it should be ok? Thats what I though at first as well, I'll see how long it lasts but I'll look around for another cover anyways seeing as Im comfortably running 40lbs of boost with my current setup...lol

Yea bro, id just use that one while ya track down another, at least when ya see the oil seepage you'll know whats up,

Well, cant remember what day it is, but its the final day. Did the final touch ups with handbrake adjustments and its as tight as a mofo. Brakes are sweet az. Freed up 1st gear as the main pipe from turbo to air intake was restricting the gear linkages. Works better than before. Lifter noise is a thing of the past now. Quiet as a church mouse. Manifold has one less bolt on the exhaust side as I couldnt fit it in with no space. One less bolt on turbo side for the same reason. No problems so far. Had boost leaks, J pipe was loose on one bolt, tightened and problem sorted.

The only last thing is noise from air con compressor/bearing. It goes away when air con is switched on and specialist quoted me $400-$500 to degas, disassemble, replace part, assemble and regas. Or I could just take the air con belt off altogether, if it doesnt run anything else of course. Pity coz, its such a loud and annoying noise :fuuuuu:

Hahey, good stuff man, ya done well,

an id do exactly what you said, drop the belt an when summer decides to haul its arse around here, then look at fixing it. Or dump a heap of wd40 in it, see if it helps

yeah I was guna WD40 it but I got a 2nd quote for around $200 so I might look at getting that done real quick coz the noise is annoying az!

And on a side note...TD05 STILL hasn't arrived :fuuuuu:

I once had a bad AC compressor do a similar thing but it didn't go away when you turned the AC on (as the system wasn't charged).
The noise was really bad, I actually thought it was the bottom end bearings at first.
I just cut the belt and refitted another compressor at a later date.
