Am thinking that if I fit on then it should let the motor be more responsive and rev quickerand therefore it will come on boost/spool sooner timewise . Appreciate answers/comments from members who have changed their f/wheels.

I have used a Fidanza alloy on a stroker and also a chrome moly on a 2ltr. Both have had balance shaft delete kits as well. I can say the punch out of corners was vastly improved. BUT both were only running TD05 big 16g...so boost was never far away.

Thanks and Happy new year to you
Did you find any trouble launching them at the track and normal driving at all??
How lighr were they??

I put a moly one on a tdo5 wrx and it was heaps better. You might stall more often when trying to move quietly on a steep driveway, but 99/100 just use more revs.

Do it, they are heaps better. I had a underdrive pulley kit as well. The flywheel was a bigger improvement than the pulleys

cant remember specific weights but thet were a lot lighter.

launch was easy but a clutch slip launch rather than dump it. I would do it again for sure

the lighter the better oldie, I run a very light clutch/flywheel and its awesome.

combined weight is around 5kgs (less then the stock flywheel without the clutch!)

Have been talking to the engine builder for the GP A race Starion and he said when they used a light FW they lost top speed.

I have an Extreme CM Flywheel (3.5 kg) (Australian made). Went 2.3 seconds quicker in the Hill Climbs last season. But from what the guys in the Turbo brigade were saying for them a heavier than std flywheel is the go.........
