OK, so. Having some issues with a VR4. I've got the logs posted below.

Car is running
560cc E6 injectors
E3 cooler and upgraded ally piping to TB (no stock elbow)
CAI & pod
aeromotive FPR & guage
TD05 20g @ ~1bar
Action Dan Dump w/ 3" back exh
HDI-EBC-R
Slightly better than factory replacement fuel pump
478 MAF (evo5/6)
STOCK maps - ie - pig rich.

SO.. my thoughts are fuel pump isn't up to the job or a hell of a lot of unmetered air getting in. The car is coded for a 482 or 399 (evo8) maf, though I'd be fairly certain that the e8 one would flow more per Hz range, hence the car should be running more RICH.

Logs from my own car have more timing, less fuel, 1 knock and it accelerates 2sec faster over the same test.

I have
560cc E8 injectors
Jspec std cooler and piping & evo0 tb elbow
Magna airbox & piping to 055
sard FPR & some guage
TD05 14b @ ~15psi
E3 Dump w/ 3" back exh
Boost restrictor tap
walbro pump
Much leaner (~11.2 compared 9.5 in tunerpro) and slightly more agressive maps
nb - the 11ish in tunerpro on my car works out closer to 12+ on the wb02... which is installed in my car and no i can't just swap it to the other car =P

i would probably start by putting the correct afm for the chip or getting the chip rewritten to suit the afm you have.

you could be getting phantom know or is it actual knock that you are seeing.

you are comparing apples and oranges when comparing the 2 cars as there isn't anything the same on them that i can see
 
it's an ostrich. The EVO8 MAF details are the closest I've been given and haven't found anything different for this MAF. One of the other boys over here apparently ran one in his VR4 with the same code.

The car is running on stock fuel and timing maps and is knocking and slowly leaning out (if you looked at the log).

Running slightly richer maps than my car is was 20knock minimum.

Also, the cars are both A-spec, both running same boost, same injectors, new O2 and the knocking one has a fairly new E3 knock sensor.

Phantom knock only at 4k+ rpm really unlikely...

BTW std maps for an A-spec are 9.5 AFR after about 3-4k.
