Dion, use this calculator : http://www.morfed.net/wheel-offset-calculator/#vis to determine stock (put in stock 6" wide rim and 46 offset on the top line) compared to aftermarket bottom line (what you want to use). It will tell you how much more the wheel will stick inward or outward > stock wheel. To maintain wheel track legality, you cant have each wheel stick further out more than 13mm! (13mm + 13mm = 26mm which is 1" wider track than stock).
I think your best combination would be an 18x7 or 17x7 with 38 offset running a 225 wide tyre and 35 profile (on 18" rim) or 40 profile (on 17" rim) You still get a fat wheel/tyre look without going to an 8" wide rim.
