Looking to buy a VR4 jspec or aus spec?

Hi Guys,

As topic says im looking to buy a VR4 to build up as a daily & weekend hillclimb/circuit car. Only thing is im not sure wether to buy an aus spec or a j spec. Mainly because apart from the visual differences (front bar,rear bar etc ) im not exactly sure what else is different. Im sure this topic would have been covered before and yes i did search but couldnt really find an answer( i may be going blind however ) so what are the difference? If there is a thread about this that someone knows of can you link it for me. Also pros and cons of each?

weight - Jspec is lighter
Power - Jspec is more powerful, but needs min 98octane fuel

Aspec has cruise control, Aspec also has 2spot brakes, the 2spots are only on the face lift jspec's... umm early jspecs dont have climate control.

Insurance will be cheaper on a Aspec, but a jspec with 2spot brakes imo would be better as a hillclimb type car just due to the weight.

im sure there are heaps more than that tho...

the brakes not going to bother me to much. will most likely swap them out for alcons thought the jspec might be lighter thats good. So climate control was only in the late model jspecs?

personally i like the dials better anyway...

nah it's jspec e39a vr4.
my one has all electric(thank god)
but don't get me wrong i'm very happy with it it's just missing few thing from the other model but it is 110kg lighter then aspec so it's quicker lol
