lsd?

Help Support 4GTuner:

btw qikvr-4,
engine is in and its all running...
only one problem, the tail shaft isn't bolt up, so i cant tell you again =)

I have an Evo 2 viscous lsd in my vr4 auto box Jett. You can't run a clutch
lsd in an auto because lsd oil doesn't suit an auto & trans oil doesn't suit
a clutch lsd. Viscous uses it's own sealed jell & was my only choice.
Sounds good when the outer & inner wheel is spining through corners.
You just have to hang on to that steering wheel & aim it dat-a-way>>

Jett you need the driver's side axle to suit if you buy a Mitsu viscous lsd.
Centre hole in the crown wheel is bigger & the 8 bolts are spaced on a
larger dia pitch. You also need the 8 bolts, they are 5mm longer.
If you can buy the viscous lsd with the crown wheel on it saves time 'n $$

Yeah I was only going to go viscous - mainly for ease of maintenance... But I definitely don't want a clutch pack one..

If only I could get a reply from ENGINR - btw ENGINR - don't worry about the FWD box questions i asked as I am now going to buy a GSR box and put that in...

any FWD with power MUST HAVE AN LSD!!!!

btw, hows your knee MALOVAN?!?

Hey mate, the knees quite good atm. I had to have surgery as you probably know. Full knee reco and fixing the chipped medial (inside) meniscus.

Op was on 15th Dec. Have been walking around for the last month now. Having physio on it once or twice a week to get the strength back. Can drive fine, like nothing ever happened which is just perfect.

I would've cried if I couldn't drive properly for a while

So im all set to see you guys on the next cruise.

Unfourtunately the LSD has been put on hold as my bank account has taken a beating in the last couple of months due to the knee and not being able to work. So time to start saving again

Yes I understand perfectly what you mean about powerful FWD cars needing LSD lol
