Still better service than you get through shitcars. The wrx is through them and we're swapping ASAP. Having a vehicle specific excess of $1000 because it has "WRX" on the badge is bullshit.

EVO-00X said:Thats crap, I told them I got done speeding last year doing 72kmh in a 60 zone on Pennant Hills Rd Sydney and he didnt say shit. He said it didnt effect my cover at all. Maybe they dont like insuring you Adrian because YOU ARE HIGH RISK! lol :w00t:
Im over 30 and it costs me a little over $800 per year for full cover at value of $20,000. Even though I had receipts and proof for spending over double that, they class the converted coupe as a GSR/EVO replica and said that if it ever is a write-off I should be able to buy another decent GSR with the money and transfer my useable parts over lol.. smart c*nts they are. $20,000 wont ever replace the AWD coupe or the money spent on it, but it is at least better than nothing and not insuring it. Im glad I dont pay $2500+ per annum like some people do.
The Godfather said:and for $50 extra a yr you get to claim 1 crash a yr which doesn't affect your premiums the next yr (if that makes sense)
I think you'll find it doesn't. I know someone in Sydney with an Evo 7 insured by Shannons who was under 25 at the time.Entaran said:I think you'll find it varies state to state jase.

You'd be surprised how much having a CAMS license can help you get insurance.
not sure if its called the no claim bonus, but when you first insure your car or when renewal time is around they ask you if you want to take this thing out for $50 and you can have 1 claim in the yr and your premiums wont go up the following renewal.milkandoj said:Does that mean, you pay 50 bucks extra a year and if you have a crash you wont loose you no claim bonus?
If so that pretty good if you on a good no claim bonus like my, I'm on 55% no claim bonus, loose that and my premium doubles.
that shit doesnt work anymore, now they just quote the premium to the youngest driver on the policy...EVO-00X said:Yeah I spose it sucks if you're under 30 yrs of age because you'll be considered high risk if you've had fines for speeding before. Maybe get your car insured in your parents name and have you listed as the youngest driver on the policy?
Entaran said:Oh, funny that. My cams L2S is uptodate and i've done defensive, advanced and high speed driving courses as well as competitive stages in motorsport events.
Again, it -does- vary state to state. I'm in Victoria. You won't get shannons to insure you in vic for anything reasonable under the age of 25. NSW, SA different apparently, half your luck.
yeah but if get written off i will be down 5k as just cars agreed value was 5k more.EVO-00X said:The $300 you saved going through Shannons could go toward your Engineer Certificate
