Yep. all evo's use panel filters.. i reckon best setup is hiflow panel, stock box with some real tight cai goin on.. my mate has cai on his inegtra and he can actually feel the gains.. here are some pics..

Hey guys, im new to the boards, and fairly new to the Mod Car Scene, although i had my fair share of playing around with cars, but more on the ICE side of it then anything else. I have been looking at some information on the site, and thought that this thread would possibly be most suited for the issue I have.
My girlfriend owns a 2 door lancer, I believe its the last of the two doors made by lancer, its a 1.8 litre. The other day thought I'd give it a standard service (oil, spark, filter change etc) and thought I would put in a Pod style air filter, although installing it was easy, the car was idling extremely rough when i started her up, thought I might have done the wiring wrong, then realised it was the unit sitting on top of the pipe where the air filter joins on to, after disonnecting it, the car seemed fine (but idled at about 1100RPMs... I managed to play around and bring it down just below the 1000RPM mark and anything below that would stall the car. Thinking that everything was fine, started driving the car shortly after and noticed that the FUEL CONSUMPTION went through the roof, at present I am getting about 160kilometers to half a tank of fuel, which I figured aint a good thing. Any advice on how I need to over come this issue would be greatly appreciated. She has cost me over $70 in fuel this week already and if thats not bad enough I look like a total fool infront of my girl now...

try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes? The ecu would have gone into safe mode with no AFM plugged in

Yeah I know Keydiver does that, but he's reluctant to do so. That and, I have a dual board anyway.
