manifold leak

Hello,

Does three topics count as spamming ?? o well..... since I just got a vr4 .....

The exhaust manifold to turbo seal leaks. The 4 bolts just comes loose. I've just tryed tightening it quite it was hot this time to see it that helps ?? By loose, I mean finger tight.

crush washers I would assume go bad in the heat. Maybe something else?

I can't quite remember, but my last 4g ( a few years ago ) had studs? This one seems to have bolts. That shouldn't matter??

it is common for these to loosen over time. i always put anti-seize paste on these threads as they can also corrode and gaul. don't worry about studs unless they are more convenient to access. these bolts are high tensile 8.8 so you just need to tighten them more - don't be scared.a spring washer could help but put a flat washer under it first.thread locker won't work in the heat.
