Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question for those that have a tune by meek

I have a Gsr with a 2l in it, 560 injectors td05 20g etc.

Have got a meek chip for it

Runs the car perfectly fine, and when it is cold it idles pretty good

though when it warms up the idle is quite rough. Bearable, but it is rough..

Does anyone else get this?

Cheers,

Just looked at the video,

Idle doesnt drop under load (power steering) and when starting the car does rev to 1500 and drops. :/

The car was running a chipped ECU that was done by Milo, ran and idles fine, WOT sat at 10.5-11 afr, idle sits around 14-15 afr

He doesnt have a wideband in it, so he cant check how the new tune is like

Also...I wouldnt call a Meek chip any form of tune...its a map that he has on file that he burns to a chip which you plug in...in no way is that known as being a tune.

Dude, let me get this straight.....
  1. The car was running fine when you got it with a tuned chip from Milo via an 'in car road tune' and 720cc Sard injectors.
  2. You decided to remove the Milo chip, put 560cc injectors in it, then ask Meek to post you a chip with a "guesstimated tune" on it to suit the new setup.
  3. You're wondering why it doesn't idle properly now?
No base tune or 'guesstimated' tune on a chip is going to run a modified car properly. The only way to properly tune it is by having a tuner physically adjusting the air/fuel maps and ignition timing (and then some) whilst the car is running and he's interpreting the data and making adjustments on the fly. It is virtually impossible to have a pre-programmed chip provide a good cold start and smooth idle on a modified car that has non oem intercooler, intake pipe, throttle body, injectors, tps, cams, turbo, etc. You really need to have someone tune your chip for 'your car' specifically as every car is different.

^ - exactly

It might be because you changed injectors and it's not scaled properly?
But yeah that's the biggest question, why would you change a road tuned map from Milo for a meek map? Would of asked Milo instead if he has the base map in the first place.

my understanding chip was tuned for economy.

I solved the issue.... I must of pushed one of the injectors in the wrong way and fucked the seal. Replaced that and it is idling a lot better now, still a little rough. I was just trying something different. I have a haltech ordered for it anyway.

Car is feeling a lot more responsive now as well.

My whole idea was to go back to a more stock tune, hence smaller injectors etc..

Have decided on different paths all together now anyway so it doesnt matter.
