I've been looking into a mild cam upgrade and I'm kinda liking the looks of a tomei 260 10.7mm
just wondering if anyone has used tomei cams and know how to acquire a set and their experiances. also any alternative options etc would be handy. I'm pretty much sold on the tomei cam gears though i love the blue and red gear they have.

Great variety, Good prices, Fast shipping and truly excellent customer service.

I was just checking out GSC S1 268/268. anyone used these? they say there is no losses at all.
What i'm looking for is quicker boost for the 18g and abit more mid-top. but im swaying more towards these or the kelford 264/260.

Dougmo, did the kelfords require a valve spring upgrade?
I'm also looking into cams, but I want to avoid upgrading the springs and retainers if i can.
heard nothing but praise about kelfords btw :)

trq str, have you actually used those guys?
always a bit worried about postage from the states

you could also try camtech's http://www.camtechcams.com.au/mits_4cyl_4g63evo1evo8.html

you could also contact wade. they are in melb, have dealt with them a couple of times and very happy with their service! :D

Camtechs seem ok. I havent seen many people using the kelfords bur those that do love them. And the gsc s1s arw on quite a feq evo/talons in the states and the idle sounds magic. But I cant seem to find any vida on the kelfords

pretty much any kelford you need springs.
As a rule I would suggest anthing close to 9.5-10mm lift you will need them
Maybe even a little less.

When I was emailing RSP about cams they recommended the GSC S1 to me over the Kelford 264/260 in terms of more power. They said from their experience with both, the GSC S1 are larger cams.

Yea mate, all the time.

They offer the best customer service I have come across over the net.

Their price on shipping is quite good also, better than most of the larger suppliers.

And lastly the shipping is fast, very fast.

cheers trq str! :D

going purely on lift and duration, the S1's are bigger than the kelford 264's. more lift all round, and 4 degrees more duration @ 1mm on the exaust cam.

but which will be more effective at spooling my turbo?

I'm also running Kelfords but I have the 272's. Idle sounds tuff, when I was looking they were the cheapest good cams around mostly cos the NZ dollar is so shit at the moment. Shipping was fast an they were good to deal with too.
