Went to mini jam weekend jsut gone, first major drag event i have been too and first time at willowbank. it was a huge eye opener, and im extremely keen to run my car down there in august. We trailored my mates car down from up here in Rockhampton. He ran a P.B of 12.35, which was top qualitier for street fwd, we were hoping for low 12's even a high 11 but he cracked 2 pistons in his first heat run.

Also wanted to say how good robevo's car is and also the jet motorsports 1200 ute is too. 63 represent!!

Rob B what pistons are you running now?
you must be happy you ran a breakage free weekend.

I'm also thinkling of changing turbo. 35R what do they spool like - how early do they come on? I dont want something coming on too late!
I would like to see 15 psi @ 3500 ish then i have plenty of head room for circuit. 5000 would be way too late. I'm only turning it to 7500.

hey evo393 what exhaust manifold is on your mates car?

i like how it sits nice and high and away from the front engine mount.

I would run a gt30 for circut, the 35 is more uited to a 2.4 ect
I have been running custom designed JE pistons for about 2 years now

yes been looking at a gt3076 or the fp3056 i think they are the same animal?

MTQ suggested a GT3076 too Not sure of the $$ yet have had prices of around 2500 for turbo and gate

might have to fab up a new manifold so i can get some room around that front mount and radiator.

i have an x force manifold and it give heaps of room between the turbo and radiator, its made for an external gate and i think it only cost me like 600.

hey rob, so would a 35 be too laggy for a 2L??

a 35 is good for the drags, when I had it on the 2 litre it wasnt making any boost until 5000, then full boost at about 55-5800,with the 2.4 its a heap better :D

OK just purchased a nice new GT3082 and ex gate

manifold to go and i'll be a happy man!

just waiting on an email for availablity.
