Gianni...does it not say "Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 3 Momo Steering Wheel" ?
Does that not lead you to believe they would /should be genuine?

I know for sure that it doesn't say copy.

And yes we are referring to Vu, the OP. AKA- RED1

Mikey...I beg to differ on that one...I have a book here called Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
It has all the models up to Evo 9 pics of wheels, interior, specs etc
In these pictures the stitching is white on an E3 wheel not black.
They probably turn black from all the sweaty dirty hands that have wrestled with them over the years.

Mitsu couldnt be that stupid to use white stitching, tryin to find a good pic, maybe someone with an EVO3 can tell us

There's a pic above which quite clearly shows the stitching. Which is white.
Would you like it clearer...?
This book has all the factory pics and brochure pics as well as specs and history and interviews with the guys who designed these cars.

Here ya go....another one. White stitching too...

Funny how the stitching in the wheel just happens to match the RECARO label on the E3 seats which also happens to be white stitching too..
Jeesus.... Mitsubishi are some crazy fools...!!

Here's a close up of the genuine steering wheel in my EVO III when I owned it.
Looks like the stitching it is red! lol
In the EVO III brochure, there's a pic of the steering wheel with white stitching (like the pic that Jamo posted), then another pic with red stitching.
All photos are of EVO III GSR interiors.
Ive also added another photo of another yellow EVO III... it also has red stiching on the steering wheel too.
So......

Yeah I think maybe grey and black are from REAL evo owners who like to work on their cars then go driving with dirty hands lol.

The red stitching would be from all the times we cut ourselves working on the cars then go for a long drive afterwards lol

The fake comes close.... but no cigar.
Real EVO III steering wheels arent jet black in colour, they are a dark grey and have a bit more shine to them :)

Yeh i noticed the fake ones are black also and the material is softer than the genuine EVO 3 charcoal wheel
