Hey guys,

Please excuse me if this has already been covered in a different topic (if thats the case please point me in the right direction) but I done a search and nothing relevant was found.

Just wanted to know if anyone in QLD with a CA, CB or CC lancer thats installed a turbo engine (61t 63t) what you needed to do for the engine to be mod plated?

I have a CB Lancer was 4g15 carby and I've done a 4g63t swap. It's pretty much stock at the moment running off a vr4 gearbox running in fwd, a stock 63t jdm ecu and on a stock cb gsr loom.

also have relocated the battery to the boot so I guess that will need to be secured properly and ventilated accordingly

Cheers
Grant

Your going to need to see an Engineer and get a LA2 modplate done for the engine swap and while your there upgrade to twinpot brakes from the vr4/evo engine, so that engine can be passed/plated because of the 20% increase in power.

Battery...secure yeah, vented....I dont think it will come up as a problem;).

See the engineer;)

cheers guys. I've got the calipers here to do the Vr4 twinpot converson

I bought the gearbox off of Rob (FST91) and its had the viscous coupling removed an replaced with Spool to my knowledge

Nah use the VR4 box. That's what Johno did.
How did you lock the box dude?

a shit load of welds lol

what about height matters? my car sits very low even without the frontlip i think the exhaust sits lower.

That looks quite neat.
Still, I like to re-iterate the advice I was given by a pro in this field when I was going through all this sort of stuff - welded centre diff.
