Motor & gearbox out?

Got my clutch today and timing belt and balance shaft belt the other week(thanks Sivart)
It will be easyer taking motor & gearbox out of the car to do all the work yes?

hmm no not really, both can be done with only a floor jack..
but if you feel more comfortable with taking the engine out then do so, but will be a hell of a lot more work..

only need to take the gearbox off mate. Belts can be a bit awkard if you have big hands (like me!), but easily done with engine in the car. You'll just make more work for yourself than is necessary by taking the motor out!

Vr4s have a fair bit of room to work with so it should be easy to do it in there
