Bit of a strange one...about to mount my new cooler. Easiest way to mount it Will have it on an angle i.e. bottom Will be closer to the back of my car than the top making it basically tilting a bit forward. My question is...are the any benefits/disadvantages to this like better/worse air flow at speed. Can also mount it straight, thought it was worth asking though seeing as I've got the space.

Good question. Never looked into it before. I would think if it was tilted that would restrict air passing through as easy. But then again your bumper design will also affect it too. I doubt it would make any huge or noticeable difference. By if anyone knows more would be a good bit of info to have :)

as long as there isnt any gaps around the side it will be perfectly fine on the angle,
if you do it and the radiAtor it can be much better as you can duct the heat out of the bonnet vent (if its an evo one)

in theory it should be mounted flat and the opening should be smaller than the cooler.
there is a book 'street turbocharging' or 'maximum boost' (cant remember which one) which goes into the dynamics of intercoolers
