Has anyone mounted after market seats in there car?

I bought some Velo Race seats on the weekend as I wanted fixed back and I am removing the evo II recaros.

I want the seat to be lower in the vehicle as I am quite tall and with a helmet on I will almost touch the roof.

The seat also has to be on rails on at some stage differing people will be racing the car.

Any advice on what I need to buy to mount them up to ensure they are lower then factory.

They are bottom not side mounted seats.

I did look at getting these

Usually guys mount the factory EVO recaro railsonto aftermarket seats as the Recaros are flat based - just like most aftermarket seats. If you're lucky the mountinh holes will match up. Apart from that you could try the seat manufacturer for a set of their seat rails... chances are they might have rails to suit an EVO 1-6.5.

seats

I bought a pair of SAARS after market bucket seats and I was told that I had to put universal sliders from the company that bolt on the bottom of the rail or go see a fabricator to make up a custom set and get an engineering certificate but that money and a complete fuck around

early bride superlow seat rails are bottom mount not side mount. they should make a set to fit our model.

you can get bride seat mounts for our car in japan.

have you tried to see if justjap can order them in for you?

I have emailed Velo to see if they are compatible with another manufacturer.

Just waiting to hear back from them and then will email just jap.
