Moving to Perth from Melbourne

Hi Guys,

Im moving from Melbourne to Perth next week for work and just had a few queries......


Im going to be renting an apartment and was wondering if an evo would be safe in a carport? I know it depends on the area but Im looking at either mosman park, east perth or between both. Anyone had bad experiences?

Do I seriously need secure lock up? Its really hard to find a place that has it.

Garage it to be sure, I wouldnt risk it.. out of site out of mind..

and yes it will be harder to find a place with one and you'll pay more for it..

well consider this.....You have chosen high rent areas. Perth doesnt have the traffic volume of melbourne...{but we have better footy players...erhm.} consider going to other areas fiurther out from these. cheaper rent and a higher likely hood of a garage.

Most of the carports are locked, I havent looked at anywhere with onstreet parking

All carports that I have ever seen (in or around the the CB area) are all locked from public access. You very rarely hear of anything happening to cars underneath apartment buildings.

2 things to note:
- Some of the carport entry's are not very favorable for a low car
- If someone wanted to break in to your car/steal something from it, they generally will.

Sweet. Theres nothing in my car except a Japanese head unit and theyd be doing me a favour if they took it because it only gets 75.00-89.99 frequency FM and the CD doesnt work.
