My rant over damage...!

I gotta say, although I was doing 100 odd k's, the bonnet really held together... Bent up a small triangle on the sides of the bonnet (near the glass), and just a couple of splits... It actually looks repairable..

I may get some pics of it next week, and put it up for sale ... Even if it only goes for $100 .. I guess that is $100 in my pocket... lol ...

Just got the quote back today... $1,500 to fix the car... So that includes full strip of the bonnet.. Fixing the roof, and of course paint and assemble all the heat shielding.. I am getting a couple of other things looked at also like the rocker cover, as I had to weld in new snorkels.. So add the cost of the bonnet I supplied
And the other misc stuff and it comes close to 3k...

I will set up a charity to take donations... Lol

Got her back yesterday.. And although it pissed me off that the damage happened, and that it cost nearly 3k to fix... I love her... This is a truly well built machine..

I took one of my mates for a fang in it, and when I gave it a hit, it knocked his sun glasses off his head.. There were 4 of us in the car at the time, and we all cracked up when we heard .. "Shit... I lost my sunnies..."

I had a few things changed also, like painting my mesh black, so will get some pictures up in the next week or So.. Since I have the original heat shield now, and that the fins are cut off the vents, I am going to have to spray the heat shield flat black so it looks a little better.. So will see how that goes...

1 day, I am driving down to see you guys in Mel.. I think the car would love the drive.. The challenge would be to still keep my licence... Lol...

I have before shots, but my missus has the camera OS.. So won't get it back for about 3 weeks..
