Jon, what drivetrain are you using? Can't be standard E3 if you hold 4th gear and hit 115mph trap speeds.

It most definately is EVO 1 drivetrain.. as far as im aware its untouched but ill ask the guy that imported the car and stuff to find out if it has been changed.. but when i bought the car it wasnt stated that it was changed.

Revs i change gear at are:

1. 7000rpm
2. 7000rpm
3. 7200rpm
4. 75000rpm (peaking over the line)

Wow Jon, I didn't know our tacho's went that high :lol:
 
What sort power is your car producing at the wheels Jon? At the moment mine has around the 220kw mark. Last time I ran it down the 1/4, it had 170kw and did 12.5 @ 109 with a 1.72 60ft. with a failing fuel pump.

Well last time i got dynoed at 187kw (12.44).. so im not sure how much i would have now.. id take a guess and say around the 200kw mark, ill get it dynoed in the next few weeks.

LOL.. well put it this way.. when i bought it off your friend the timing belt was out 2 teeth.. which happened to stretch the conrods. When taking it down to Phillip Island it spat a rod out of the block.. so yer

Basically what ive done is:

- Rebuilt Evo III bottom end (stock non forged)
- 560 Evo 8 injectors
- Upgraded intercooler piping (now 2.5' and 2.25')
- Upgraded valve springs
- Custom 4' Air Filter into the turbo
- Custom Air box
- Custom 3.5' CAI induction
- Upgraded exhaust system
- Cusco 4 point underbody brace
- New ECU retune

Easily about 5-7k worth of mods there!

Just did a 12.09 @ 115.75mph last night
Best mph was 116.25mph
Best 60' was 1.705

Did about 7 sub 12.4 passes for the night.

Something with my car is holding me back and im thinking its got to do with suspension/gearbox issues as ive been told the front wheels on my car spin as they please while the rear wheels try to grab and go.

Anyways i think im gonna give up on the s16g and install my b16g which should be on for the next race meet.. should atleast push me into the 11s.. or i hope!!!!

Shagged Viscous Coupling?
Considering the Mitsu boxes split the power 50/50. That would cause the fronts to spin alot more than they should yeah?

Edit: Nice 60ft'ers....

I had the same thing with my VR4, I was only getting mid-high 1.8 60ft's when I was racing at calder.

A little bit of wheelspin isnt that bad, but I found that I just couldnt get it off the line as good as I could on the street.
