Just found this forum, and I guess I am late to the party.
My first impression of the Lancer coupe was, "Looks fast, but quite the contrary.
The Philippines was cursed to only have the 4g92 SOHC as an engine option for the Lancer coupe.
Then I thought to myself, "Hey, let's turbocharge this Sh?tsubishi, nevermind the consequences."
Work done:
-Complete engine overhaul following manual specifications (with additional clearance for turbocharging, still from the owner's manual)
-Custom bumper (to give the ol' intercooler some space)
-Installation of T3/T4 turbocharger with internal wastegate, turbo exhaust manifold, pipings, intercooler, recirculation valve, custom full exhaust
-Battery relocation
-Oil pump replacement (defective)
-Coil on plug conversion (tuner said it misfires at 5k rpm and upgrade to COP will fix it)
-Manual transmission conversion (originally came with AT)
-Street tuning @ 10 psi (thinking twice about raising it to 16 psi with stock internals)
Future plans:
-Forged internals (pistons, conrods)
-ARP head studs
-Oil cooler with a thermostatic sandwich plate (already have one but haven't installed it yet because I cannot find a half decent thermostatic oil sandwich plate)
-Vented hood (not sure if based off of Evo 5 or a custom design)
-Suspension upgrade (or just replacement of worn parts)
-Lower offset wheels (and wider too)
-New tires
-Thermal wrapping of the turbo manifold and the downpipe (with high temp and anti rust paint)
-Oil pressure gauge, oil temp gauge, coolant temp gauge, volt meter gauge, vacuum gauge
-New boost gauge (not satisfied with the current one)
-Engine cover (or just repaint the valve cover, still undecided)
-Spoiler delete (I like the look better without any spoilers)
-New or a used (but half decent) shift knob
And when the day comes that I blow up the engine, 4g63t swap, or maybe even a 4b11t.
