Hey guys

Getting a new turbo put on the vr4 and just wondering what options I have (within my budget)

I have a 3" exhaust, waste gate and standard 450cc injectors. I do have a set of 510's but would I need a re tune for them to run well?

I'm thinking maybe just a big 16G, as this would be the easiest and cheapest option with minimal upgrading of fuel pumps and chips etc..

Do I have other CHEAP options?

Of course I would love to have a 20G or t3/t4 but I can't afford re tuning the car and upgrading my fuel system right now....

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Cheers.

I would save some coin up get ecmlink to tune , then put in walbro 255 pump , fpr , and go with 20g turbo . No point doing turbo if you dont have supporting mods to run bigger boost. I would even go bigger than 510s im maxing out my 560s with a 20G @ 22 PSI

Could I just fit a big 16G and my 510's and maybe just chip the ecu for them to run ok?

I tried the 510's once and they ran like shit as it was too rich.

I unfortunately can't afford a tune, a big turbo and bigger injectors at the moment

That's basically what I have now. I have a Walbro pump too and I would recommend one as the first step of any upgrade requiring more fuel.

With a 16G you will definitely need a re-tune. I have a stock ECU with a socket so you can remove the chip that holds the map. It's a reprogrammable prom. I have a generic map based on my mods done by Meek Automotive in Sydney.

How'd you go with the EPROM tune? I have a tune for 16G+510cc+2G AFM on my computer somewhere, but like the guys above said, you'd wanna chuck in a walbro pump in the tank.
