hey guys, im new hear. thought id ask the experts

Ive got a HG GSR Galant, and im looking at doing a few cheap, easy-ish mods for a touch more go. So far ive got extractors and a 2.0" cat back exhaust. Is the air filter interchangeable from the sohc engine into a dohc engine (ive got a kn high flow from a sohc 4g63)
if youve got any ideas let me know.
oh and the engine is imported from japan, was the j-spec engine any faster?

future plans include vr4 a-spec bumper, headers to cat exhaust/high flow cat, new wheels and new suspension when the ecs dies (im surprised its still alive...)

heheheh yer gone through allll that add me on msn if you want to know more..... [email protected]

and yes the import GSR DOHC N/A engine has more power then the aust but has to have the matching ECU or the power wont be noticed.

I had that jap motor fitted when i had My GSR..it was better..had dual runner to if its a cylone inlet....

advance the timing to around 12-13 degrees (only if your motor is healthy) and keep it on 98 RON..you'll notice it..add a bit of a cold air feed and a pod set up with a box..you could also play around with inlet resinators..but thats getting pretty technical for minimal gains..they do work though if you get the right one.
