I was watching the clip of the widebody
Evo 3 on youtube yesterday and thought
"damn, that's what someone from Team4G should do!"
A widebody Evo but with a WRC/Rally look about it.

Another nice widebody :)

This 1 is for GLXi PWR

I was just laughing at that dudes comment, i dont agree with it. its just funny. :p

I agree with it. The front bumper does nothing for me, rear bumper is hideous- those cheap and tacky tail lights and indicators should be binned- headlights and indicators don't line up properly and the engine bay aint even painted!

If this car didnt have a roll cage and custom paint, it'd be nothing special. No matter how much you try and dress lamb up as mutton- its an EVO III: dont try and make it look any newer- it ruins a perfectly good car!

my 2 cents (flame me if yous like!)

EvoIII's aren't that rare (at least no more so than any other evo) and round here every other gsr, evo1, evo2 has an evo3 kit, so it makes a nice change.

The bodywork looks alright, though I agree the cheap taillights/indicators bring it down a bit.
Dunno why people get so worked up over a cheap bolt in cage anyway, it's just a fashion accessory (those front bars that go round rather than through the dash will do next to nothing if it ends up on it's lid, and you bang your damn knees on the mgetting in and out).
Welded in cages, tagged to the pillars ftw!

The wheels are Rays gram lights 57pro's.

silver cc is wicked looking very clean wide kit

do like the bolt in cage though.....hmmm might put one in my car
sleeper is atrtin to wake up a lil more tinting an itll be there

I think a bolt in cage does a little more than become a fashion accessory, especially if you are running harnesses.
No doubt they are not in the same league as a weld in job but still provide a fair amount of protection if you end up on the lid.

I am going to fit a bond bolt in job into my car, for a few reasons...
Its CAMS approved.
Its $1200 with harness bars for a 6 point, compared to the $7000 quote I got for a weld in cage.
It can be removed without any major refitting to the car..ie finding another dash to replace the one with 2 big holes in it :D
Also transport legalities, as in my state 2 seater registration is not allowed, therefore making 6 point cages illegal, I will be able to remove the front legs when not at the track and still be road legal.

I would rather have a bolt in cage than no cage at all whilst being strapped into the seat with a harness, being unable to move your head while the roof caved in around you :)

That wasn't aimed at all bolt in cages, I was trying to differentiate between proper cages homologated by CAMS (or MSNZ over here) and the 'double bend around the dash' type favoured by the japanese which removes a large portion of the strength from the front hoop, and in the event of a rollover makes it more difficult to exit the vehicle (which is why they aren't homologated).

Were those quotes for a CroMoly cage?
