Hey Guys a mate Of Mine Brought a Vr4 Not to long ago.

Anyway the previous owner thought he had dropped a piston but never had a compression test. The car wouldent start or anything and It Pissed oil all over the engine bay oneday when he was driving it home. Which to me sounds like heaps of crazy Blowbye SO i also assumed.. Yeh man u melted a piston etc. then he told me once he turned it off It wouldent start anymore

ANyway Got her home on a trailer on sunday and today Ripped the rocker cover off and to My amazement Found this
My camera isnt focusing on the troublespot verywell I need to work out the manual focus

I did a compression check ANd Nothing.....in any cylenders...How could this Be? i tested My compression tester Many times and it was perfect. I did it properly etc, Tried it many times and NOTHING

Through the hole I can see into the sump pretty much, I know a new head is in order but I just dont get how There is no compression!

....
holy shit?

Is your mate on these forums?

Jstyle has a complete head for 350, or a race ported one that needs all parts for a bit less I think.

Excuse to cam it up?

Nah he isnt registered on these forums as yet.

But yeh, I dont know what could have caused it???....and why no compression??

will most likly buy jstyles head if its still about in 2 weeks

take the head off and inspect the bottom end..

looks pretty dirty, probably need a complete rebuild?..

if that much damage is done to the head.. & there is zero compression, it might be that motor is completly shagged! might be front cut time!

keep us posted on what u find when it gets pulled down!
