pffft the bike, what camera did you use to take those photos jase?

nikon coolpix 5700. only 5megapixel but it takes alright photos. i'm a hack though.. need to read the manual but have just never got around to it

i gotta 06 or 07 (forget) Norco Bigfoot, stock as a rock. blasted around dandy mountains a few times but dont ride it nearly as much as i was planning on when i bought it...

i miss my BMXs but im too tall for em there just not comfortable to ride no more! when i was a bit shorter i had a GT Robinson Rebel which i rebuilt with various quality parts, was an awesome bike to ride but unfortunatly was stolen only a few weeks after i finished building it. Also Had A GT Dyno i bought to try my hand at flatland, my number 1 trick was falling over the bike and landing on my head! yeh i didnt really have the balance for that!

tooo badd i sold it

Giant Talon

Was something in the vicinity of 1700 bucks just over 18 months ago and frankly, it's a great bike. I know some of you spent 8g's on your bikes but I like mine :D

Pics below, plus obligatory battle damage. I quite enjoy falling off it :p It's a cross country bike for gravel/forest, not a downhiller. Hasn't stopped me trying tho...

Yes, that's a 44 gal drum of race grade methanol.

I just got my bike on Sunday.
Malvern Star XCS 7.0

I had a look at pretty much all the brands, the Giant Alias was proberly only the other bike that was close to the MS, unless you went over the $1k mark.

Loving it so far, although I need to go back and get the brakes readjusted... apparantly your not suppose to squeeze the brakes when the wheel/disc isnt there, as the piston (hydrolic brakes) move to far out, now the pads are rubbing against the disc, now it needs to be re-bleeded? Not sure, I'll find out anyhow.

thought i'd revive the thread from almost two years ago rather than start a new one.

Yeah you could probably pick up a VR4 for this sort of money Jon.

But hey, you have to have an addiction whatever it is..

Anyone else riding nowadays? Dan?

wow, some pretty nice rigs on here! :D

Here's what I attempt to ride when I get around to it, which is not very often :( mainly just try to get a bit of a ride in down at the skate park.

2011 Kink Apex, completely standard. Pretty good straight out of the packet, and I don't ride enough anymore to justify upgrades haha
