Looking forward to meeting some of you guys finally! Lets cruise!

dre

Is there anything you want to do or see when your over here Dre?

From what i hear WA is a bit opposite to over east with New years eve and Aussie day.
New years eve is more low key and Aussie day is freaking mental!

I'm up for a piss up on NYE :D

NYE is crap over here compared to the east coast, on a public level.. Australia day in perth is comparative to NYE on the east coast, im still not used to it lol... make sure you go to the motorplex, its a fast track, quality.... lots of traction.. Where are the hills? there on the east coast.. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.. summer is awesome!
So.... whats the go?!

I'm just coming to check it out- not fussed on huge NYE celebrations as such- it'll be one big NYE for me really...!!!

I have been told to go check Cottesloe out, Rottnest and Margaret river!

I'm staying in the city at the Medina, and am taking nominations for good spots to eat for breakfast and dinner!

I'm working at Woodside which is about 500-600 meters from the Medina, we can meet up for ribs at Tony Romas for lunch during the week.

the breweries and winerys are awesome down at margret river but its a long haul from perth, from memory nearly 3.5-4 hours
one way, well worth it if you have the time though, duckstein brewery was awesome!

Little creatures is worth a sip/look too.

I've got a Falcon rental with unlimited kms, plus road trips are fun! Def keen to check something out!

Yeah, just came back from Melbs to Perth for my first NYE here.... In hindsight I should have stayed in Melbourne.

A lot of the places that are ticketed are sold out already however Little creatures and Raffles are open till 2 on friday I think.

Garden in Leeder has a mad hatter party which sounds ok and still has tix available.

Well i've had a blast so far! Met up with to4 and milkandoj the other day (cheers guys!) and spent NYE in Northbridge at some shitty spot called the Brass Monkey. Multi levels of fails :D

Went down and had an amazing lunch at Must Lounge Bar in Margaret River yesterday- got my rental car stuck in some sand down at the beach- had to get 2 car loads of randoms to help us push it out! The stuff was like quicksand!!

Going to Rottnest Island today (wtf is up with the ferry rip-off??) and then out for dinner tonight before I leave tomorrow afternoon!

W.A is awesome! How hot are the ladies! Damn my neck is sore!!!! :p

No wonder you neck is sore you spin it around so dam quick haha.

Rottnest ferry is cheaper if you catch it from Fremantle than Hillarys, Still its a rip off.
On Rotto, a good close beach to walk to is "The Basin" is good for a snorkel and a swim and a perv, think you can hire snorkel stuff at the Bike hire place off memory (before you walk there). Its about a ten minute walk from where you will land on the Ferry. For such a close place its worth a snorkel there is some amazing fish life out there so close to the shore.
The pub near where the ferry lands does good food and atmosphere looking over the bay, Lamb cutlets ftw. Bakery does good pies, exy tho.

if you get stuck ask people at the shops they will tell you where to go.

If your into this sort of thing there is old artillery posts and the tunnels the guys used, and rail way lines they had to push the ammo along to each gun, the look out posts and shelters for the guns.
They were put on the island from WW2, it was there to protect Perth if boats came over. You can go on tours ect, i think the old people in yellow shirts take you, be careful or they will talk you ear off.
Me and my mates have gone to the areas that the tours don't take you where its just bush and no track and had a beer up there at night for the Aussie soldiers, its pretty awesome. Crawled through the tunnels ect lol.

My mate used to work on Rotto so we used to tear the place apart lol. A lot of fun to be had.

Love Rotto, although it's changed heaps since we used to go as a family when I was younger. Let us know what you thought of it :)

Sorry to dissapoint, but my mate and I decided to go on a nice boozy lunch excursion at Must wine bar in Highgate which co-incidentally is the place I was at for lunch yesterday in Margy River, instead of the mission to Rotto! For the price of 2 tickets on the ferry, we had an amazing lunch- I can't reccomend this place enough if you are into some quality tastes and/or want to impress a lady!

Forgot to add that I was at the Ocean Beach Hotel last night in Cotts with 1600 other trash bags! Was awesome!
