i wish!.... Germany is probably the best when it comes to learning how to drive... they teach you how to change a flat tyre even before you start driving... but Aust is too farkin cheap to do any of that...

Correct ... Because they will proffit out of fining you and putting you through the legal system..

Where as if the fund something, they will not get their money back ...

See right there is a double edged sword, yes it would be good, if it sunk into to 90% of these fuckin knuckle heads skulls, but i think them going thru a defensive driving course could be the catalyst to making them worst, as they would be going out full of false confidence, and sure as shit they over commit themselves to a corner and then the next page 1 story of the local newspaper is being written about how another Tragic loss on our roads.

Now i know that paragraph doesn't apply to all but surely you can see the point im trying to put across.

In my family we have one uncle that when myself and my cousins turned 17 and get our Ps he would send us on the defensive driving courses and i will say, yes they are great, but in the wrong hands of a narrow minded fool it would only add fuel to a fire.

But yet again, not all people are like that.. Doing the course in their car will let them know the limits.. And see how quickly things can go wrong in a "controlled" environemt .. One would think this would be enough to scare the shit out of them ..

Dan you're on the money. We're part of this "hoon" label because of the cars we drive, not because of the way we drive.
Thats what the media wants too.
There was 6 people in that car, there was alcohol involved, and there was a dick behind the wheel who was probably half drunk. Yet, the media is going to push that he should never have been driving that car. (A standard XR6)

Yeah it would scare the shit out of most people but there is always the deadshit P platers, thinking they are the next best thing to a pro driver and the toughest cunt on their street, it won't sink in.

the guy driving had a BAC of .19 I thought?

Maybe it will be easier if we remove all trees and power poles close to ant roads.
Because now a days yound people have no respect for the law, police, parents, others people. and nature.

And parents have lost power/authority to decipline they're children.

In our suburb which is mostly 60km/h, you'll see car crashes everytime it rains.
You'll see cars crashing thru fences, Nando's, car on top of another car...
It's never ending.
