Hey guys,

Does anyone know what the ohms are of the fuel senders in the tanks?

I'll be putting in a cell and it has its own sender and I want to use the factory fuel gauge for it

Any help is great

Cheers, Ben

ok ive check out the manauls and stuff but I can for the life of me find the ohm readings.. ive found some online but they are not for the gsr/evo 1-3's

and one know the readings

cheers, guys.. I was looking in the wrong spot then, or not hard enough, it all looks that same after awhile lol

with those specs jack, the gauge should still read fine with a 0-90 sender, id just have to wire it up backwards. being 0 empty and 90 full

Yea maybe. It should have 3 pins at the rheostat. One at top of resistor, one at bottom and one on the moving arm.
If 0 is empty then you are wired to the bottom and the arm.
You want 0 when full so you want to wire to the top of resister and also to the arm.

Plug it in and try it.

ok back onto this..

I spend a good 2hrs trying to get the gauge to work.. its working by not the way I want.

the feul light works correctly, one when it float is at the lowest point. and off when its off that point.

but the gauge..

currently its reading half full(or empty) when its empty, but when full it reads empty.

every wire I try either goes straight to the top or doesn't move at all, like ive said ive tried every wire combination I could try.

any ideas?

So you need to move a wire on the resistor. You need to get to the bit that the arm rubs on and put the wire at the other oend of the bit it rubs on.

Think of a scalelectrix throttle. You can see the arm rub the spring. With the trigger shut it is off or infinate resistance. The power enters at the far side and travels through the spring and into the slide. At full noise the power travels into the spring and almost straight into the slide. This gives full power to the car.
If you move the power wire to the opposite end of the spring, you will reverse the trigger operation. Ie finger off the trigger will be full noise and full trigger will be stopped.
You need to move the wire to the other end of the resister to reverse the avtion of the needle.
Capish?
