Oil catch can??

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

stops blow-by re-entering your intake which is known to lower the octane rating...

more suited to turbo-charger application however still can serve a purpose on n/a's...

I have one spare ... It is blue ... Got it from Just Jap ... Let me know if you want pics ...

OK I have done some searchs online. Best I can come up with is it goes between your PCV valve. Instead of pulling oil residue from our rocker cover it will allow the oil to drop out while still allowing positive crankcase ventilation.

If I am correct, then it should be easy enough to bodge something up.

correct... most people plumb them in between the pcv valve and the inlet mani. shouldnt be more than a 30 minute job.

It's worth doing if you get blow by!

only costs as much as the catch can! itself. ( they come with fittings etc.. )

Or you can just get an empty coke bottle, zip tie it in place, and run the hoses to that

seen it done before

it stops build up of oil in your intake piping/ intercooler etc

also helps the big fault of the 4g63s blow by issues

you can use an empty coke bottle if you really want to and just run hoses from your rocker cover to it, but it you want it to have street cred, you need a polished one :p

lmao,
offcourse im not gonna use a coke bottle,
excuse my noobieness but whats blow by
sorry to hijack thread...but hopefully this is helping u too. mitsuundai

when the rings become worn they allow some of the air to escap into the crankcase... this air is very warm so its kinda or an air/fuel/oil warm gas...
