Oil Change Intervals

guys, I've just bought some Redline Shockproof light 15W-50 full synthetic engine oil. It was not cheap. Is changing oil every 10,000km with this oil too far on an Evo VIII? Should I just stick to changing the oil every 5,000km?

I'd stick to every 5000 km's myself.
Oil is cheap compared to possible repairs!
