Hey, running a 6 bolt 4g63 in my sigma, i want to setup an oil cooler before i get it running. The grub screws/alan key bolts (in the picture) are high pressure oil outlets correct?? is there any reason why i cant use these as an oil feed for an oil cooler? other than not having any thermostat to control the flow? will just have to make sure i warm my car up before driving... which should be done any way aiy.... will run the standard water to oil cooler as well... no harm

I'd run a relocation kit personally with an oil stat.

BUT considering you have a VR4 AUS SPEC motor, you already have the water jacket on the oil filter housing. This is ideal for a street setup so you really don't need one if its only street driven.

If you plan to track, then an air to oil cooler would work well. In this case, those ports off the oil filter housing may work, but the oil may flow unfiltered.

It is a RWD setup correct? I know you can get a forward facing oil filter housing. I got mine from the USA. I think tritons would have them also.

Anyway, I've logged oil temps with / without oil coolers and on the street, the water jacket will be fine. The oil is a bit too cold if you don't have an oil stat. Food for thought!

2.0l Starion oil filter assembly bolts straight on and gives you the proper oil cooler take offs,as well as the proper location for the oil filter for rear wheel drive
