oil for 4g93t

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

mitsu dealer said they use castrol 10w/30

but the kid in there obviously didnt really know what he was talking aboot
any ways i'll give it a shot

i use motul v300 10w40

its a pretty good oil, seems to bandaid fix the tapping noise but $90 for 5lt  ... changing every 5000kms hurts the pocket.

anyone know of cheaper oils that also has the same quite effect?

i would believe mitsubishi over an oil book supplied by a specific oil
manufacturer.

they will usually recomend the oil that "they" make which is the
closest specification to the genuine grade.

it will only be right if the oil they make an oil that is the same spec.
if not, they will pick the closest

have a look at some motul 8100 xcess its 100% synthetic and 5w40 i think this is the ducks guts and it is about $60 for 5L

I've got the lancer manual. (Bought it 2 years ago from mitsu)

From memory it was 15-50 but I'll check later for you.

My mechanic puts Oleon 10-40 semi synthetic in my car. It use to run its life on castrol gtx 3 which was great imo too (just got black towards 5k mark).
