Doing some work on the car the other day and I had to take off a pipe and there was a bit of oil in there.

This is not normal...right ?

Is my turbo on it's way out ? :(

run a catch can or breater setup to eliminate this problem...

you can clean you piping out by taking it off and wasing it out with petrol or similar...

I'm running a catch can allready.
It's a td04 and was thinking about upgrading after I do my tax,but know it looks like I'm going to upgrade anyway..

does the catch can use the intake pipe as the breather?

if so, you might be getting oil in the pipes through that

You'll be suprised.

I highly doubt it's coming from the turbo, oil in a turbine housing will fry more or less instantly.

Vent the catch can somewhere other than the intake and see how you go.

Ok where can I vent it to :?
vent it to the atmosphere... get a breather from autobarn and clamp it onto one of the ports on the catch can and see if it helps

my old cooler pipes got choccers with oil and the turbo was fine, it was all coming from the breathers
