hey guys im having dramas with getting my oil press guage to work, pic below:
15072008003wr4.jpg

it is a Drift neo series electronic oil press gauge, now it has 5 wires,
a white
red
black
green
orange,
would any of you guys know what goes to what..
now dont say do trial and error cause i spent 30 minutes changing wires around and what not but couldnt get any reading.
the sender has 2 little nipples to connect onto.. so that leaves 3 others, 2 are for the multi coloured backing which i worked out to be black and white.. then 2 other for the sender and whats the other one for.. please help as its stopping me completing my dash....
Matt

red - pos
black - neg
orange - sender
green - sender
white - illumination

try that bro.......

The light in your gauge - i.e. connects to an interior light souce when you turn your parkers/headlights on so that the gauge illuminates at night :)

2 should go to your light source/illumination,
2 should go to your sender
1 should be ground
surely u could download a manual off the website or google or something just to tell you witch wires mean what..

drfit dont even have a website, went through 3 pages of google, seems they have nothing, ill try the sugestions thoguh, thanks

You lucky i am so organised and everything is filled away neatly.
Just pulled the manual that come with my drift oil pressure gauge.

Green - Signal Wire (to the sender) (yes i know the sender has two little nipples, you only need to connect to one of them, the sender is grounded through the engine already)
Red - Accessory On
Black - Ground
White - Nite lamp.
Orange - Battery 12volt constant

I wired both red and orange wires to accessory, i dont trust anything having constant 12volt.

WARNING: The senders that come with these drift gauges are shit, and are prone to leaking. I took mine off because it was leaking so badly. And since my car has been off the road i havent found a replacement for it yet.

oh really? ive been running my sender with nothing connected for like 5 days, not one drop..
or you mean over a period? used sealer on both threads soo..

it was fine at first
but after a couple of months my car would drip a little oil when sitting.

its hard to notice because when travelling it will just spray under the car, took me a few months to finally work out where it was coming from.

the sender is now sitting in my garage and am trying to find an alternative sender

**EDIT** it doesnt actually leak from the threads, mine was leaking from the lip arround the middle of the sender. it appears to be made of two peices that are folded together.
