just wondering what oil pressure your all running.my motor has had its balance shafts removed and ive heard this can give you high oil pressure.any help would be appreciated
thanks
brad

bout 90-100psi cold start

cruising around 60psi

warm idle 20ish psi...

Your oil pressure will increase if the balance elim. kit didn;t use block off bearings or at least spin the old balance shaft bearing around so the oil gallery is blocked.

thanks for the imput.my oil pressure guage arrived today so ill sus it out this weekend.how has everyone lowered the pressure if its too high is it just a matter of trimming down the pressure relief spring
cheers

if what you saying is they left the gallery open .....well Im thinking it would have a problem with having no oil pressure.

exactly brian, i think jon means they do need to be blocked. you can use the 4g61 block off bearings or just
turn the original type ones.

if they are not blocked your lucky to even see 10psi

I used the stainless ones from meek.........one was a great fit... one wasnt. however after peening out a little then machined for a tight fit all was good. advantage of stainless is.....it wont be affected by caustic if the block goes for a swim at rebuild time

Glad someone understood my dribble. If the oil gallery isn't blocked oil pressure will drop significantly. To block the oil gallery as said above, either use a block off bearing or simply turn the existing bearing around so the oil whole doesn't line up with the gallery.
