oil squirting my SOHC 4g93

thats a bit of a sticky one, dont think many people have gone about it the same way as you. not many people have turboed a non turbo 93 as they are so easily available as turbo in dohc form. at a guess you could even use a dohc bottom end and the sohc head if needed, but obviously the dohc is better, i know quite a few drag engines have them removed as they can provide un even temps accross the piston. although they are put there factory for a reason.

I say it is worth it if you want the motor to last.
All turbo models have squirters.. it was put there for a reason....
they are used to cool and lubricate the bottom side of the pistons / skirts...
I just did a 2.4L block, you will need to spend a bit of money on an engineering place to do it as they will have the tools etc..
Go buy yourself some squirters from mitsu, I got some evo 8 ones for about 40 bux a pop... you will need the one way valves also.. they will be additional cost..
A specialist in piston manufacturing informed me that all the older cars without squirters had pistons come out of them coloured blue and gold... this problem was eliminated when squirters were used...
On your block, you would probably mount them on that spot faced part of the block... It looks like it is sitting on top of a gallery.. Do you have spare blocks to play with?

well even though your not going to do it in the end, i would like to say i like your style, at least you research these things into do it properly!! not many people these days do, its more just try it and fix it when it dont work!!

depends what tools you had too buy some tools are great too keep anyway ive acumulated 40k worth of tools of 2 years and i used them every weekend and they arent ur everyday tools either
