Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before...
While giving it some stick in 4th or 5th gear the dipstick comes up and oil shoots out through my bonnet vents and onto my window. Oil goes all over the engine and its a bitch to clean up.

Could it be that my engine is on its way out ?

whoa!

is the dipstick in loose (no effort needed to pull it out and just slips out)
if so put like a little O-ring washer on it and it will keep it in there tight and see if it does it again.

(Please see my shithouse illustration)

otherwise no clue..

Blowby caused by rings on the way out OR blocked PCV valve, hence not letting enough crankcase gases escape....Thus blowing the dipstick out.

You can have a compression test done or add a spring to the dipstick to keep it in place. Crimp the top of the dipstick tube a little....

Anymore for anymore.....

Have you got a catch can?

A little crank case ventilation goes a long way!

I ran both fittings on my rocker cover to an atmo vented catch can and it solved the oil out of the dipstick problem.

I removed the PCV and blocked off the port on the inlet manifold. I replaced both fittings on the rocker cover with 3/8" barbs to match the ports on my catch can.

All good now :)

I just hope its not rings on the way out cause i was finally looking at getting a few mods to gain a few kws.
Really dont want to rebuild the engine atm.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it mate. It's happened to plenty of us who have solved it relatively simply.

Yup definately vent your crank case.

I had EXACTLY the same problem -fixed it by -10 fittings welded onto my rocker cover then used pushlock hose and a proper catch can setup with a filter.

ive got the same problem, ive done a evo 3 conversion 2 my gti but its spitting out oil from dipstick. So i just change my PCV 2 hose barbs and run the hosing 2 my catch can n make sure my catch can has a filter so that the air can escape

If you want to do it on the cheap, then get one of these and put it the standard fitting on your rocker cover

Like so:

Also, an o-ring at the top of the runner on your dipstick (like pictured above) is also a good idea

This is what I've done;

Polished rocker cover with -10 fittings welded in stock breather locations. Not only did this look good, having the -10 fittings welded and using a proper catch can setup it stopped my dipstick from blowing out oil and oil leaking out from under the oil filler cap.

New polished alloy catch can installed with -10 pushlock fittings and hose. Genuine K&N filter used aswell :D
