Hey guys,
Just hit upon me that there may still be a few minor things I may not have factored in when I did the engine swap.
Things I may not have considere when going from the 4G15P to the 4G63:
Just hit upon me that there may still be a few minor things I may not have factored in when I did the engine swap.
Things I may not have considere when going from the 4G15P to the 4G63:
- Fuel Pump
- Fuel Lines
- Fuel Return Lines
- Air Intake (Will the '63 get enough air via my (modified) safari snorkel)
- Tyres (Should I put higher rated tyres on her? They are category V)
- CV Shafts (The 1.8 Gearbox that I swapped out a while back went back on, with the stock Proton Driveshafts in it)
- Hubs (Can the stock hubs handle the torque?)
- Chassis side of engine mounts (Should I reinforce these? Or will the chassis take it over a long period of time?)
- Radiator - I replaced the stock radiator with a full alloy core, 1.5xstandard thickness after the 4th radiator blowout (Roo, Roo, Landcruiser, Wombat), and they fitted plastic tanks cos they didn't have any alloy tanks that matched jumbuck radiator mounts. I kept this, cos it kept my engine slightly cooler than normal)
