Pedders Suspension

Hey guys,

I am getting my shocks and lowered springs done this coming week at Pedders Burleigh, I was quoted $1400 for new shocks and lowered springs installed, plus my CV joints changed(I'm supplying the CV's themselves)

Does this sound about right?

Personally, I wouldn't touch Pedders crap with a 10 foot pole.

I'd look into some KYB shocks and RSR springs...

Yea I found some RSR springs for around $450 delivered from Import Monster. Shocks about $120 each i think?
Only problem is I would have to wait ages to get them.

would coilovers be something you would look at? or is the ride a bit too rough hence why youre chasing lowered springs?
Ive got Tein's and at the softest setting, its quite bearable and also can adjust to any height.

Yea coilovers are too stiff for my family boost wagon! I can get RSR springs delivered for $328 for a set of 4. I might go with that option I think!

Ended up getting Sports Ryder springs and KYB struts all round. Pretty happy with the ride didnt want to go with coilovers as its a daily. I have front and rear strut braces in and I am happy with the handling.

my coilovers ride smoother than my mates car with lowered springs, thats what damper is for. also i agree with pedders being overpriced although i cant comment personally about the quality

Yea they are pretty expensive, the products are good though. I think most of them are just rebranded anyways as Pedders

i asked about coilovers cos mine are abit tired, they wanted 1700 +fitting ontop of that

Lol...you can buy my Ohlins for less than that and they are 1000 times better!

You can also get heaps of other good brand coilovers for around that too.

Hey all got a quote from Pedders for lowered springs. $392. Does this sound excessive? I have never bought their products before and have heard they are expensive for the quality. Need to get this car to sit lower, and it is sagging a bit in the rear.

Yes. I send my springs to freo spring works. Tell them to lower 50mm and that was $50 pair.
Just gotta strip struts for him, but that is about 20min work with rattle gun.
