Im just wondering what you think of people who call there lancers with evo bodykits evos

recently on another forum there was some one asking for a car for a weding anyway i thought i be nice and offer my car for it she said she did not want it as she sold her EVO 6 not to long ago i was like ok no problems

to find out her evo 6 was a kitted up lancer cuope with all them stickers.

this brings me to the question what do you think of people who call there lancers EVOS when clearly they are not?

because if they said "my p.o.s. GL lancer with badly made fibreglass evo kit" people would laugh at them :p

Or, maybe she genuinely didn't know there was a difference besides the bodywork (yes there are actually people like that)

If it aint an EVO straight out of the factory, it aint an EVO.... no matter how much you dress them up. Call a spade a spade... not a diamond. I can call my mrs Paris Hilton but it still dont mean she's Paris unfortunately, no matter how much I wish it to come true

Im the same I dont like bad copys but perfect replicas arnt to bad everyone cant afford a evo for just the insurance alone

I hate when people get a real evo and swap everything around like making a evo 4 into a 5 etc, there perfect as they are

i dont really care.

i just admire the looks of the car, not everyone needs to have a super fast car. As long as it looks neat/tidy and good, then i like it :)

if its overdone, well i proberly wont like it, but its not what i like, its what the driver of the car likes in the end of the day.

same goes with old falcons.. mock up gt's called ''gt's''

same with the HSV mock ups... clubby kitted 5L's etc
hell someone i know bought a mock up VR one and seriously thought it was genuine when it had normal holden wheel... black door handles and holden rocker covers... he still calls it a clubsport.. pfffffffffft
even 5L commo berlinas etc get called SS's...

Same as imprezas passed off as WRX or STI

I own a c73a lancer GSR and i've hardly called it a cyborg but sometimes it would be easier then when i say GSR its assumed as a CC lancer...

still the non turbo FWD lancers shouldnt get called EVO's

thats because the only difference to a cyborg and your GSR is a rear hatch :p id call it a borg just to make things easier........

plus, its no mock up POS is it?!

GSR's have been going on for years, so there's NO reason why you should have to not call it a GSR for the uneducated masses here in Australia.

Keep it traditional JDM. Its a GSR lancer, not a CYBORG mirage. :)
