Personalised Plates

Does anyone have any sort of personalised numberplate on their RVR?

I picked up mine this morning from the RTA

No just the standard personalised plate cost. I was surprised that I could get a 3 letter plate.

whats the costs over there? ours are $300 for three letter/three number or $1100 for full personalised plate

$110 Application Fee and $440 a year for the plate. That's NSW.

I use to have VR 401 on my vr4 before. Now they're on my pajero tho.

That sucks hey in WA we just pay for the plates and that's it.

The RTA in NSW is shite.

Rude people at the counter. They rip you off big-time. Loads of rules and restrictions around car mods. Lots of crap.

Vic, one off payment of $495 and I own it forever...which is sweet as I plan to put them on my future force fed cars whatever they may be :-D

I was in Melbourne for a week recently for some work training.(aka. drinks, expensive food and everything paid for) I love the place. I could live and work in Melbourne very easily

our wa ones have gone up. they were 275 for 7 characters, they now 310. so we got personal plates on the bikes, and both cars. knowing you guys pay so much for plates makes ours so attractive

I gotta say shorty, Melb is an awesome place to live. Besides being the nanny state in regards to over policing of traffic related offences (getting done for 3km/h over the limit sux big time) it is a great place to be. I've been many places in oz and OS, and I always compare them to Melb and always love coming home to the best of 'em all ;-)

Had a massive problem with the sale and I pulled out as the guy ended up wanting more money for it and I wasn't willing to pay. Such a wase of time,

That would be for the metal ones, the polycarbonate ones are more though aren’t they, like over 400

Yea WA is ridiculous expensive that's why I don't have any.

We had an RVR with the [RVR] plates going round for a while, haven't seen it in years.


FYI: you can now look up what plates you want in WA on the website to see if they're available.

Sorry I would pay WA price any day. If keep these plates for 10 years I pay the NSW RTA... $4510
