Hi all, It's been a while since Ive posted on here or anywhere really. As the title reads, I have found an rvr, I wasn't really looking but saw one sitting in someones driveway parked in the same position for a looong time and thought to myself that i might be able to offer a price for it provided nothing was wrong with drivetrain.
As it turns out it is a non turbo 5spd with MASSIVE gudgeon pin noise, so no motor which was perfect for me as I still have my evo 3 evo 1? (g6k 2 on head) engine waiting in my shed ready to build (eagle rods, cp pistons, arp bolts)
The clutch is also stuffed, but owner is supplying entire clutch kit, from firewall down to plate.
The atmo head was rebuilt 3000k ago so should be good for some parts if nothing else.
I had plans to put a 4g63t into a lancer wagon, but thought this will be an easier conversion plus the added bonus of awd.
Paint is a bit sad, but I'm a house painter by trade and have sprayed most of my life (20 yrs) and have some experience with clear over base 2 packs and acrylics, so I figure if it stands still long enough, I can paint it.
Interior is what you would expect when you let the Sun and some small monkeys have their run of the rear of the car, so a clean up and respray of the plastics is in order.
Should be fun, I will keep you all posted.
Regards, B.
