anyone know where i can get my wheels powder coated black..

a light sand blast then a powder coat... in vic.

and how much roughly it would cost..

Thanks Peter

All the places I've worked (panel shops) send wheel repairs/repaints to Advanced Alloys. They do an awesome job. Quoted me $110 a wheel to have my stock VR4 rims painted gun metal grey from silver. And they'll come back brand new. I'm sending my wheels there after tyres and tint.

And they pick up and return, too.

For $440 you'd wanna free bar tab thrown in as well!

There is alot of work involved.

It's not cheap, but if it is quality you are after, you have to pay for it.

If you took it to a bead blaster, it would cost you at least $40.00 per rim.
That is after you remove the tyres at about 5 bux - 10 bux a tyre.

Once you blast them, send them off to get coated which would cost you about 50 bux each minimum.

Once that is done, 5 -10 bux to put the tyres back on.

In total, to do it yourself so to speak,
$500.00

But I now get my wheels painted.. I think you have a larger range of colours and the finish is better.

hold on...u work in a panel shop and ur gonna pay someone else to paint em:confused:

if your boss is cool with you using the shop then its just as case of,
throw a bit of spot filler in the deeper scratches, give em a prime, rub n paint. not a complicated task if your in the trade. and if u dont paint then im sure the painter at your work would blow em in for you if u got em prepped up

i dunno just seems weird to me, thats all i would imagine this advanced alloys joint would do. I could be wrong though
