Dont you want to get them sandblasted first? If so, go to a local tombstone maker as there's bound to be a sandblasting dude there. I took a bucket worth of parts and crossmembers and rocker cover to one here in Newcastle and he did it the next day for only $60. Rushed them straight to the powder coaters after that 8)

theres plenty of powdercoaters down here. surely there are plenty down there.
From memory I got my rocker cover sand blasted and rocker cover powdercovered for $60

Dan,

You'll definately need to have them back to bare metal if you want a good finish.

Either sandblast (most industrial places do them). I actually have sand and bead blast facilities at my work but i've tried blasting the Oz's but it wasn't strong enough and didn't take all of the p/c off.

The standard powdercoat on Oz rims are thick as.

My work actually does powdercoating.. satin black should come up pretty sweet.. PM me if u want more details.

Hey Dan..
How ya doing?

I still have a contact with a powdercoater
if your interested let me know and ill can drop the rims off to him to finish..
its not cheap though!
its about 80 dollars a rim!

but you can inspect the volks i have done if your interested..
they dont scratch as easy as painted rims..

you can painy over it dre, just sand it back a little so the paint has something to grab... some fine grit paper will do
or scuff... the paint will act as a primer
