I would like to know what power figures have been achieved and seen with your own eyes with a tdo5 20g with vr4 motor. Ive heard alot of stories but not too sure whats true or not. Thanks in advance.

what supporting mods do you have? what ecu etc etc...
I have evo 8 560's, walbro, hks 272's, springs, retainers, forged engine, balance shafts removed,gt pumps 20g, evo3 ex manifold and dump, 055, bomz intake, full 3 inch, j spec cooler 2.5 pipes and ecmlink full version. Whats an honest figure at wheels on say 20psi for this setup? Or anything similar to compare

There are so many variables,
so your running 20psi now? How much power are you actually making?
Still running the stock air box?
What cat and mufflers? Who is tuning it? Cams dialed in? Running 98 octane?

on 20psi around 220-240kw

I made 270kw on 21psi with a stroker with everything and 100 octane fuel

I made 214kw on a 16G, aftermarket ECU, ID1000 injectors, standard downpipe with 3" exhaust, intercooler and piping, fuel pump etc. I would think 220kw would be a low end figure if you can get a good tune.

I've seen 16gs make 160kw - 220kws. Only difference, i/c pipin and I/C type, intake manifold (cyclone/eci multi), t/b.

Same ecu, same tuner, same fuel, same dyno, same gear ratio.

The car with the top end supporting mods obviously made more power.

5kws here, 10kws there... It all adds up.

also keep in mind, 3.9 ratio boxes will show more power on the dyno than a 3.5 box if done in the same gear.

very keen to see what power you make. ive got an evo 3 with a pretty similar build to yours. looking at running 22-24psi and dual maps. 98 for street and e85 for track.

My 16G made 189kw @ wheels on 15psi with 264º cams, 510's & evo afm, s-afc, 38mm w'gate, 3" exhaust from o2 housing back, no muffler, stock intercooler and piping on 98 octane.
Would really like to get a link ecu into it and see what it can do with a proper tune and some more boost (have also swapped the cooler and piping for 'evo 0' stuff)

Suprised no one has asked what compressor cover OP will be using, a td06 cover will make more power than a td05 cover that's been machined to fit the bigger wheel.
Similarly the amount (if any) that the turbine wheel is back-cut will make a big difference also.

I made 205@tw today. On 22psi. Only way to get. Ore is up the boost on the setup. Or upgrade cams ect.

So that a stock motor with td0520g. 750cc injectors. 3" exhaust, cooler, intake. (obviously injectors ect can handle more. Just need cams

Yeah he said it made (x) amount and he had done enough gsr's ect to know it works out to be about 205. Then again it's also a coupe. Not sure if the weight will change the power to the floor.

It's an awd coupe. Non LSD so only front and rear drivers side

gt pumps 20g is best buy i have made so far. I am also keen on how much power i can make after the few upgrade's up and coming.
