Hi, im thinking about putting m10 studs on the ends of the exhaust manifold but power steering pump is in the way to get a drill into there straight.
Does anybody have a link to a step by step on removing the power steering pump?
If its too much of a mission im not going to bother and re install my exhaust manifold again properly
Thanks

It's pretty easy to get off.
3 bolts. 2 you access through holes in the pulley and the other one is at the exhaust manifold end of the pump. All 14mm heads.

Sweet, is there anything else to do like re tension the belt or anything or any adjustments need to be made when putting it back on?
Do i drain the fluid somehow?

you dont need to take off the hoses so you dont need to drain it.

when refitting it you just pull or level the pump towards the front of the car until the belt is tensioned correctly

yup its pretty simple, I just did it last weekend.

def. dont pull of the lines, just bend it all bak out of the way.

lever the pump back to correct tension with a pry bar :)

beauty

if your trying to get to the zorst mani you might need to pull the mounting bracket off as well, tis another 3 bolts if i remember correctly, 2 through the bracket from where the pump was and one through the front/timing cover area

Sweet guys, so what does people recomend about the end stud? Is it necessary to change them? Or if i did it properly will the standard m8's be fine? im not looking to race it, more just for everyday use

The threads should be right unless another stud snaps this time.
I had advice from meek to change the ends to m10's but if not heaps necessary then ill leave it

Quick questions about exhaust manifolds, i used exaust cement last time as sealeant for the gasket and was toild its not necessary to put any sealant just put the gasket on and manifold, is that correct?
