yeah the only drag race i would do in it would be on a deca day pretty much and the odd calder park fridayday night meet i even plan on doing some autocross/rally cross events and hill climbs so forth
 
from what i can tell, its flows about the same as a 20g, but being BB would probably spool a bit quicker.

i wouldnt buy one.
 
the standard internals of the 6 should be good enough to handle 200-230kws atws.

if thats the power ur after then no need to open her up.



i will be running my 5 shortly after the cooler and power fc is on

as my mines ecu has been sold. :(

so once its tuned it will hit the track with the stock turbo.
 
yeah its more the power range im after i want somthing that will not run out of puff higher in the rev range type thing
 
well then cams, and probably a td05 18g-20g wld do. otherwise u can play around with the stock turbo and rebuild it to a better spec.
 
TD05HR-16G6-10.5T is the number just checked it agenst my turbo lol at one stage looked like td06 :p haha

well its not the fact i want more power i belive the power i can get out of this will prob be more then enough i just want somthing that will come on say around 2500 i guess would be the best but the goal is to have it rev and keep power down till 7000 min 8000 i would love :D

but yeah 200 - 220 kw is more then enough maybe we go higher but we see later on in the track racing when i feel i need that power but yeah
 
you guys pretty much sumed it up,

there are far better turbo's out there for our cars...

leave the GT Twenty Hates to the SR20's

yep same turbo thats in mine..

they are the stock e6 and 5 turbos u gotta remember though fair few ppl are after the 10.5T ;)
 
lol well with the 10.5 how soon before they start to run out of puff? like in the rev range? will they keep pulling power till late in the rev range?

^ just found this ball bearing conversion for our turbo and with the titanium center thingi sounds like a nice deal i will keep reading up and seeing what i can find out about the turbo it self and what can be done to reach my goals as i got a friend who rebuilds turbos he said he will do it for the cost of the parts i just goto find out the parts :p

he a nice guy im sure if i went in there going yes MY TWIN TURBO evo needs a upgrade im sure he can its just a matter of finding the parts and so on that will fit i have emailed the place with url to find out more about the ball bearing turbo and also seeing if they can do a 20g version in ball bearing i will keep you updated with my findings
