hey guys,
having a problem with my japspec gsr, I just got my car working not long ago and realize there engine oil coming out of the oil cap.
Does anyone know where that problem coming from? by the way does anyone have a cheap 4G93 rocket cover for sale? my rocker cover cracked :(

either buy a new cap or a new cap seal...

Should be a few dollars mate..

You could also be getting a good case of excess blow by from warn rings...

Things to inspect are your PCV and the hoses comming out of the rocker cover...
 
MD194295 for the oil cap seal, just double it up with the perished one and you'll get no leakage. If blowby is the cause (and it probably is) the oil will find elsewhere to leak from, probably at several points on the rocker cover gasket.
 
there a lot of smoke coming out of my exhaust and there a crack in my rocker cover so there heaps of oil coming out
 
well oil should be coming out of the crack in the rocker cover and the smoke from the exhaust what colour is it black, white or blue
 
i had the exact same problem minus the cracked rocker cover. and ive just pulled the engine appart and figured out the head bolts were loose. also if your after a rocker cover i have a spare one but im new zealand?

the smoke is from my breather. i put a breather on because i didnt want oil going into my air flow but that was too late :(
 
the smoke has to be oil smoke. i didnt actually have that problem but i had minor steam coming out of oil cap as my head had unevened itself so everything was going everywhere i had oil going to my water and water going into my oil the steam / smoke that i got was water that had gotten into the oil and then evaporated. i would replace the rocker cover asap im sure you could pick one up for $60 somewhere. also take the car to a mechanic its possible that youll need a headgaskit or piston rings.

ive stripped my motor and put in new bottom end bearings front seals piston rings, 3 layer metal head gasket.
 
yer most definetly replace rocker cover and while you are at it torque the head bolts too the specific torque setting see if they are loose

failing that definetly compression test and see if theres 1 cylinder thats dropped pressure of it all of the cylinders have dropped in pressure

compression testing you can in 2 different tests, they are dry and wet

if theres no drop in pressure across all becuase it should show the same results. The wet test is done too see if a ring has failed or possible valve stem seal
