Price of a rebuild ?

Moving on to the next part of research.

How much should i be planing to spend on a rebuild ?
Nothing drastic, just forgies and rods.

Have no idea what Mitsu engines are about hence the question for a price figure.

how much can you do yourself......such as remove and reinstall....disassemble engine...clean parts and take to machinist etc

depending on what you are buying..a basic set of pistons and rods are only 800-1000.

Machining....roughly 1500. but was including align bore due to using main studs.

It can be pretty expensive exercise. My motor is fully forged, blueprinted ect.
By the time you have your gaskets, bearings all the little things.
I completely did everything, except machinist ect, and you can still be looking at 8-10k

I know a guy who will strip and build a motor for 3500-4k. That's scat rods, Cp pistons, cometic hg, Arp head studs. Mains. Even crank girdle. Tightens bearing clearances up too. I think he just has a genuine love for the 4g63 motor. Everytime i see him, he's goin no about them being gods motor. And I've seem some good results come out of his shop.
